CCRC Contract Standards and Model Laws
The public is entitled to be able understand commitments which they undertake to ensure that there is mutuality in agreements and that contracts provide a full meeting of the minds.
To this end Continuing Care Contracts need to be written in understandable, clear and unambiguous plain language. Moreover, regulation is needed to ensure that Continuing Care Contracts fairly balance the interests of residents with those of the business entities that offer the contracts.
